Windi Novita Azra. The Influence of Public Knowledge and Perceptions on Purchasing Interest in Private Health Insurance in Community RW 010 Duri Kepa, West Jakarta. Supervised by Mrs. Prof. Dr. Rukaesih Achmad Maolani, M.Si. and Mr. Dedi Kusdani, FLMI, FSAI, M.M. Health insurance is a way to reduce the risks that occur as a result of medical costs by transferring uncertainty about financial losses. This study entitled The Effect of Public Knowledge and Perceptions on Purchase Intention for Private Health Insurance in Community RW 010 Duri Kepa, West Jakarta. This study aims to determine the effect of knowledge and perceptions on buying interest in private health insurance policies. This research was conducted in the area of RW 010 Duri Kepa, West Jakarta. The variables used in this study are independent variables, namely knowledge and perception, while the dependent variable is buying interest. The conclusion in this study shows that the partial t test for the Knowledge variable (X1) has an effect on Purchase Interest (Y), this is evidenced by the value of t count > t table (5,744 > 1,661) and Perception (X2) has an effect on Purchase Interest (Y) this is evidenced by the value of t count > t table (8.198 > 1.661). Simultaneous testing (F statistical test), namely knowledge and perception have a simultaneous effect on buying interest, this is evidenced by F count > F table (160.444 > 3.10). The coefficient of determination obtained is 0.781 or 78.1%, which means that the variables of knowledge and perception have an influence of 78.1% on buying interest and most of the others 21.9% are influenced by various other factors that are not explained in this study
