PERANAN DESAIN KOMUNIKASI VISUAL DALAM MENGHADAPI KESIGAPAN MASYARAKAT TERHADAP BENCANA GEMPA BUMI

Abstract


The purpose of this study is to determine the scientific role of visual communication design with various visual powers to become an information tool and guide for the community to be able and alert to earthquake disasters. By using descriptive qualitative research methods, through various relevant theories then create visual design works that explain about things that should be done before the earthquake occurred, after the earthquake, and after the earthquake. The results of the study concluded that by looking at human existence as a thinking creature. Seeing repeatedly the visual design produced through the application of the science of Visual Communication Design, making people fast and responsive when the face of an earthquakes. In the end when the earthquake comes back, the skilled community to act in accordance with all the visual information they see, and many souls will be saved.
